SL 327 (CAS: 305350-87-2) is a cell-permeable vinylogous cyanamide that acts as a selective inhibitor of MEK-1 and MEK-2 (IC50 = 0.18 and 0.22 μM respectively). SL327 had no affect on acquisition, expression, or extinction of EtOH-induced CPP in mice despite causing significant reduction of pERK levels in multiple brain regions. Additionally, although SL327 caused a generalized depression of locomotor activity, it did not prevent the development of EtOH-sensitization.
